11 & 12 June 2027 (at Hemsby Chill)

Your Crew for the day

At SILC Champs, the judging team is handpicked by Kieran and Charlie to ensure the competition reflects the very best of SILC.

Every judge is a SILC-qualified teacher, chosen for their technical knowledge, experience and understanding of what makes great SILC dancing. All SILC Champs judges also complete dedicated competition judge training, helping to ensure a consistent, fair and informed approach across every round.

Kieran will provide all of the competition music, carefully selecting the tracks that set the tone for each round.

Our judging team will be revealed here as they are confirmed, so keep checking back to see who will be joining us.

Compere - Tim Sant

Tim was there from the conception of SILC, working as part of the choreographic team who devised the syllabus and teaching methodology.

Tim now teaches and DJs SILC events across the country, a highly regarded ambassador within the dance genre, and he will be hosting the competition in 2027.

Judge & Competition DJ, Kieran Moore

Kieran Moore is one of the founders and masterminds behind SILC, helping shape and develop both the SILC product and its unique syllabus.

A passionate aficionado of smooth, slotted partner dancing, Kieran has dedicated years to refining the technique, principles and movement that define SILC.

Kieran will also be providing all of the competition music for this event.

Judge, Charlie Brownlee

As a co-founder of SILC, Charlie has helped shape the heart and spirit of the organisation from the very beginning. As a Teacher Trainer and examiner, Charlie has spent many years mentoring and assessing instructors across the UK, helping to develop the next generation of SILC teachers.

Charlie is particularly passionate about follower’s technique and the art of creating confident, responsive and expressive followers. She believes that strong follower skills are the key to true connection in partner dancing and loves helping dancers discover how technique can unlock greater freedom, musicality and enjoyment on the dance floor.

Judge, Caine Langford

An early advocate of SILC, Caine Langford was one of the first teachers outside its original development team to fully embrace and champion the style. He is now widely known for his technical and analytical approach to SILC, with a particular interest in the mechanics of connection, movement and lead & follow.

Caine’s teaching focuses on understanding the mechanics behind the dance, the how and the why, giving dancers the tools to create movement rather than simply reproduce it.

He teaches and DJs across the UK, created Bristol SILC Sunday, and brings many years of teaching and judging experience to the SILC Championships.
