11 & 12 June 2027 (at Hemsby Chill)
SILC Champs
SILC Champs at the Ceroc Escape Hemsby Chill weekender is just a small part of the overall experience, designed to help you challenge and refine your SILC dancing skills. Spread across Friday and Saturday to allow for maximum class and freestyle time, it consists of two key components: Fixed Partner and SILC Stars.
Friday evening will feature the Fixed Partner competition for one hour, with three levels to choose from: Foundation, Elevate or Elite. You can compete with a partner of your choice. Please check our seeding and eligibility rules carefully.
On Saturday daytime, we’ll hold the SILC Stars competition, where names and music are randomly drawn, and you’ll dance either individually or in a small group. The competition will have three main levels: Foundation, Elevate and Elite, plus a Masters division for invited/qualified dancers only. Judging will once again follow the SILC syllabus. This event will take approximately 2 hours.
Saturday evening brings the grand finale, where all the finals will take place and takes just over 1 hour.
Prizegiving will be on Sunday evening.
You must have booked accommodation and be wearing a valid wristband for Ceroc Escape Hemsby Chill to compete at this event – please head over to the main site if you need to book.

Why compete at the SILC Champs?
PUT YOUR SILC TO THE TEST
The SILC Champs give you the chance to take everything you love about SILC and put it into practice under competition conditions. It is not just about moves, it is about connection, musicality, control, interpretation and how confidently you can adapt your dancing in the moment. A brilliant challenge for anyone who wants to push their SILC that little bit further.
ONE OF A KIND
Created and curated by Kieran and Charlie, the originators of the SILC syllabus, this competition has been designed specifically to celebrate SILC as it was intended to be danced. Unique to Hemsby Chill, this is the only event where you can compete for a SILC title and take home an official SILC trophy. If SILC is your thing, this is the one competition you simply cannot do anywhere else.
MAKE A WEEKEND OF IT
The SILC Champs are just one part of an entire weekender dedicated to SILC. Around the competition you have a full weekend of classes, workshops, social dancing, great music and plenty of time to simply enjoy dancing. So you can give the competition a go, enjoy the buzz of taking part, then get straight back onto the dancefloor and make a whole weekend of it.
