SCOTTISH CHAMPS ARE BACK FOR 2026!
Now in our 23rd year, we look forward to welcoming you all back to the fabulous George Watson’s College for another weekend of outstanding dancing, thrilling competition and unforgetable memories on and off the dance floor. The friendliest competition there is, join us North of the Border for a weekend full of energy, excitement, outstanding achievements and fun.
Welcoming dancers from all over the world, some new to the competition circuit and those who are seasoned champions, the Scottish Champs showcase our amazing dance community and highlight your passion and talent.
The competitions are hard fought during the day, with a variety of categories to challenge everyone. Once the final heat is over we know how to PARTY! We’ve got top quality DJS for all of the freestyles and for the competition itself, our musical choices are legendary.

Whether you’re dancing for the bling or cheering from the sidelines, this year’s Scottish Champs promise to be bigger and better than ever.
Friday Warm Up Freestyle in the competition venue, test out the floor and revel in the beauty of George Watson’s College.
Saturday Competition Day is family friendly so encourage everyone to come along and support you.
With plenty of freestyle opportunities over the day for those not competing.
It may be a competition but the atmosphere is bursting with fun and giggles.
Sunday’s Tea Dance brings out 4 hours of the best of Chilled Tunes, and our Scottish bakers are well known for rustling up a load of tasty treats for you. Set in St Ninian’s Church Hall, it’s on the main road to the airport so a perfect location.

The Scottish Champs uses a consistent set of rules and scoring methodology that aligns with every event in the Ceroc Championship series. This ensures fairness, clarity, and a level playing field for all competitors, no matter which regional or national Champs they attend.
MAKE A WEEKEND OF IT
Make a weekend of it by kicking things off at our Friday night Pre-Comp Warm-up party, the perfect way to get into the Champs spirit. Then unwind on Sunday with our laid-back SILC afternoon chill-out freestyle—ideal for relaxing and reconnecting on the dance floor. With a 2pm start, you’ve plenty of time to explore Edinburgh and enjoy a hearty Scottish breakfast. Plus the Sunday venue is on the way to the airport, so it’s perfectly placed before you head back home.
